Compare Month-by-Month Usage Data

After clicking the “Energy Usage and Dashboard” button, this helpful tool is the first piece of information you’ll see in the dashboard.

The chart shows your energy usage month-by-month. If you have a smart meter, you can also see your daily energy use or down to 15-minute interval usage. Plus, the graph displays outdoor temperatures — showing you how the weather impacted your energy usage.

See Your Highest Day of Use

If you have a smart meter, this feature tells you which days throughout the month saw the highest energy usage.

This allows you to understand which days of the week you’re using the most electricity — and how you can reduce your usage throughout the month.

Analyze Your Energy Usage

By completing a short survey about your home, you can see what uses the most energy in your home.

This feature shares what uses the most energy throughout your home and contributes the most to your annual electricity costs. From here, you can also access savings tips.

    1. Hi Justin. Good question. We are hoping to be able to include elements of the energy dashboard in the AEP Ohio mobile app but we are still in the planning stages of this. Stay tuned — we’ll be sure to let customers know when and if this happens!

  1. Hello,

I also used the App when it was available – any chance that will come back? Also I still have the bridge device that you sent me but my understanding is it’s no longer required? If not can you send me a box and shipping label and I’ll send it back?

    Thanks for your help.

    1. Hi Ron. Unfortunately, we don’t have any plans for bring back the app. As for the energy bridge our recommendation is to recycle it using proper methods for electronic devices.

  2. Is there any kind of a rebate for having a new Energy saving furnace and air conditioner installed?

    1. Hi Janice! Thanks for your question. There is a heat pump rebate currently offered by Mitsubishi Trane that was featured in our most recent customer newsletter. More information is available here: AEPOhio.com/GetPumped. We don’t have any other rebates beyond the manufacturer rebate.

  3. Please, please bring back the IT’S YOUR POWER app. I have been lost without it these last few months. I did such a better job at managing my electricity usage when I could monitor it in real-time. I have left my energy bridge online and plugged in. I have never removed it, The other methods mentioned in the email attached to the reply form I’m using are useless to me. None of what you mention has helped me near the way the real-time monitoring did via the app. I am begging you to return its use! Please reply via email.

  4. Is there a plan to reactivate the Local Energy Gateways which were available when we first converted to SmartMeters? These devices gave us incredible real-time information about our energy usage as well as historical trending. It makes absolutely no sense why this program was disabled when the goal is to provide the information to assist consumers in reducing their energy usage.

The new web-based system does not provide anywhere near the amount of usable, actionable data that the energy bridge did.

    1. Hi Troy. Good news! This information is available. It’s a longer answer so one of our representatives is going to email you. Thanks for your message — have a great day!

    1. Hi Joe. I’m not sure what your exact issue is but if you drop us a note on Facebook or Twitter (maybe with a photo?) we can look into it. Thanks for checking in.

  5. I have a smart meter and wish i could look at it real time without going to the meter. I am in the net metering, so i like to see the incoming and outgoing reads…

    1. Unfortunately, Richard, I’m told that as things stand now net metering does not function well with the app. We will only display the net amount on the energy dashboard tools. We want to make this information as user friendly as possible and our continuing to explore options.

  6. . Is there a way you can help me with insulation around my windows? I have low income!

    1. Sorry, Dorothy, at this time you’re unable to view real-time usage. You can see your energy usage from the previous day.
