When neighbors in Delaware County need help making ends meet, they turn to People In Need, Inc. of Delaware County. The nonprofit connects individuals and families experiencing financial hardships with resources that can help.

Through partnerships with local organizations, volunteers and community leaders, People In Need helps connect residents with services designed to support housing stability and ensure families have access to the resources they need during challenging times.

Through its programs, local residents can access support such as:

  • Eviction prevention resources to help families remain in their homes.
  • Utility assistance programs that help households keep essential services running.
  • Food pantry and produce markets that expand access to fresh food across the county.
  • Mortgage assistance for homeowners facing financial hardship.

Recently, the AEP Ohio Foundation donated $25,000 to support People In Need’s housing stability programs, with a focus on eviction prevention and utility assistance. The funding will help ensure Delaware County residents have access to critical resources during times of financial hardship.

“Support from organizations like the AEP Ohio Foundation helps us continue serving neighbors when they need it most,” said Mallory Sribanditmongkol, the director of community engagement for People In Need, Inc. of Delaware County.

“People In Need plays an important role in supporting families across Delaware County,” said Mike LaScola, AEP Ohio’s external affairs manager. “Our team members live and work in these communities, and organizations like People In Need are essential to local wellbeing.”
