As a cornerstone of our community, Grove City Food Pantry spent four decades proving that when neighbors look out for each other, big things happen.

The pantry is an example of collaboration at its finest. By teaming up with local cities, villages and nonprofits, it helps thousands of area families keep food on the table every year.

The Grove City team goes far beyond offering canned goods. Local families can access resources such as:

  • Fresh produce and meat for healthy dinners.
  • Baby care supplies for the littlest neighbors.
  • Basic healthcare products.
  • Pet food (because four-legged family members matter, too!).

Recently, the AEP Ohio Foundation had the privilege of contributing $25,000 to help stock these shelves. An additional $1,000 donation helped support the organization’s Thanksgiving Turkey Wattle, an athletic event that invited community members to get moving and raise money to help the nonprofit feed local families.

“AEP Ohio’s gift is an investment in the well-being of Grove City,” said Tracy Fiber, Grove City Food Pantry manager. “Partnerships like this remind us that when businesses, neighbors and leaders come together, we can make a powerful difference.”

“Grove City Food Pantry fills a vital need in the community, and we’re grateful for their leadership in this important issue,” said Mike LaScola, AEP Ohio’s external affairs manager. “Our team members don’t just work in the communities we serve; we live here, too, and supporting organizations like the Grove City Food Pantry is one more way we’re striving to be good neighbors.”
