When Clintonville families need after-school activities or a little help putting food on the table, they turn to the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center (CRC). For over 50 years, the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center has been the place where neighbors—young and old alike — turn when they need extra help or a place to belong.
Whether it’s a senior looking for a friendly visit or a student who needs a quiet spot for homework and a healthy snack, the CRC shows up for all of us. Its impact spans generations, including:
- For kids, after-school tutoring, homework help and nutritious snacks that keep local students fueled and focused.
- For seniors, essential in-home visits, recreational trips and help navigating health resources so our older neighbors can stay active and independent.
- For families, a food pantry, daily lunches and a team ready to help them connect with the right assistance programs when they need help.
As a proud member of the Clintonville community, the AEP Ohio Foundation recently donated $9,500 to help keep these programs running strong.
“This donation will have a real impact,” said Stephanie Baker, CRC’s executive director. “It means more sack lunches for local students, check-ins for our seniors and families accessing resources that can change their lives for the better. It’s about taking care of each other.”
This gift is just one small part of our commitment to the places we call home. “The Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center makes our community a better place to live,” said Mike LaScola, AEP Ohio’s external affairs manager. “Our team members are your neighbors, and we’re honored to support the organizations that make our community feel like home.”
Family Services and Choice Food Pantry is located at 14 W. Lakeview Ave., Columbus, OH 43202. To learn more about their valuable work, visit ClintonvilleCRC.org. For more information about how AEP Ohio is giving back to your community, visit our North Columbus community hub.
