During Ohio Power Company’s Week of Service, our team found even more ways to support the communities we call home. From July 26 to Aug. 1, Ohio Power employees volunteered across the state, helping families, supporting local nonprofits and tackling projects that will benefit communities long after the week ended.
Whether building furniture, serving meals or helping students prepare for a new school year, employees demonstrated that serving others extends far beyond the workplace.
Ohio Power joined families and community members at the Touch-A-Truck, Touch-A-Train event in Sugarcreek, giving children and adults a hands-on look at the equipment our crews use to keep the lights on. Visitors had the opportunity to ride in a bucket truck and experience the view our employees have while working to restore power. For some participants, it was also a chance to conquer their fear of heights while learning more about the work that supports their communities.
