During AEP Ohio’s Week of Service, our team found even more ways to support the communities we call home. From July 26 to Aug. 1, AEP Ohio employees volunteered across the state, helping families, supporting local nonprofits and tackling projects that will benefit communities long after the week ended.
Whether building furniture, serving meals or helping students prepare for a new school year, employees demonstrated that serving others extends far beyond the workplace.
One local effort benefited Fort Frye Local Schools, where AEP Ohio employees donated much-needed hygiene products to help students start the school year.
“We are always accepting those, because we provide a lot of those types of supplies to families and students in need,” said Fort Frye Superintendent Stephanie Starcher. “Each year, we usually wipe out our supply.”
