During AEP Ohio’s Week of Service, our team found even more ways to support the communities we call home. From July 26 to Aug. 1, AEP Ohio employees volunteered across the state, helping families, supporting local nonprofits and tackling projects that will benefit communities long after the week ended.
Whether building furniture, serving meals or helping students prepare for a new school year, employees demonstrated that serving others extends far beyond the workplace.
Hundreds of families gathered at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Center for a back-to-school celebration featuring free backpacks, school supplies, vaccines, community resources and family activities. AEP Ohio volunteers, alongside members of AEP’s Hispanic Origin Latin American (HOLA) Employee Resource Group, helped distribute backpacks and school supplies to local students, ensuring they have the tools they need to begin the school year .
