It’s already getting cooler outside — and with winter just around the corner, now is the time to get ahead of your bills. From higher fuel costs to the age of your furnace, there are many factors that can impact your electric bill. Homes with electric heating systems can see especially large jumps.
Keep Your Bills Consistent: Enroll in AMP
Our Average Monthly Payment (AMP) plan spreads the costs of heating and cooling over the whole year. That means you pay roughly the same amount during the upcoming cooler months as you pay during the rest of the year. Enroll today and start saving.
Please note, AMP is only applicable to AEP Ohio charges. If you participate in Ohio Choice and want to enroll in a budget plan for generation charges, please contact your generation provider.
Check Your Energy Usage
The Energy Dashboard is a free tool we provide to all our customers to help you compare month-to-month usage, see your highest day of usage, get energy savings tips and more. Log in today to start tracking.
Get High Bill Alerts
One of the best ways to stay on top of information is by setting up alerts for your account. You’ll get texts and/or emails letting you know of activity on your account like outage reports, billing updates and payment notifications.
Neighbor to Neighbor
Our Neighbor to Neighbor Program lends a hand to those experiencing financial hardship. Administered by Dollar Energy fund, the program provides eligible customers with a utility assistance grant applied directly to their bill. The program is now accepting applications for utility assistance grants for the 2022-2023 winter heating season from October 3, 2022 through April 28, 2023.
In need of a little more time to submit your payment? We understand. Get a little more time to pay with a one-time payment extension.
Spreading out payments over a few months in order to pay your balance in full may help give you the flexibility you need. Request a monthly payment plan to help you budget and pay off your balance in full.
