AEP Ohio employees from the Canton area recently joined forces with the American Red Cross and the Louisville Fire Department for “Sound the Alarm,” an important initiative that provides homeowners with free smoke alarms. According to the National Fire Protection Association, working smoke detectors significantly reduce the risk of fire-related deaths and injuries: they detect smoke and alert residents, giving them time to evacuate and call for help.
Volunteers installed up to three smoke alarms on each floor of participating homes at no cost. In total, 90 smoke alarms were installed.
AEP Ohio is dedicated to helping raise awareness about important fire and safety measures, making a positive impact across the communities it serves.

Hello. Everyone’s needs and budget are different, so your best bet would be to contact an electrician or licensed contractor to go over specifics for your situation.
