It’s Wildlights time! The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s popular winter event returns from Nov. 21, 2025, to Jan. 4, 2026. This beloved holiday tradition features millions of LED lights throughout the Zoo, festive animated musical light displays and enchanting winter wonderland experiences, combining a celebration of nature with holiday cheer.

To celebrate more than 15 years of efficiently powering Wildlights, AEP Ohio is offering our customers an exclusive, online-only buy one, get one (BOGO) free ticket deal. Buy any regular-priced adult Wildlights admission ticket and get one free, valid Mondays through Thursdays during regular Wildlights operating hours through Dec. 18, 2025. This offer is good for up to six free tickets while supplies last.
Follow the step-by-step instructions below to get your tickets.
Desktop Instructions
- On the Zoo’s homepage, hover over the Plan Your Visit dropdown menu on the upper right side of the page. On the popup menu that appears, find and click on the purple Buy Tickets button at the bottom left.
- Click the Promotional Code tab on the upper right side of the ticket window, type the word POWER (not case-sensitive) and click Apply.
- This will open the Wildlights ticket options. Click Buy Now on the option that applies to you.
- Choose half of the total number of tickets needed. For example, if you need tickets for four adults, select two general admission tickets and click Add To Cart. On the Shopping Cart page, the two free tickets will be automatically applied for a total of four tickets.
Mobile Instructions
- On the Zoo’s homepage, scroll down to and tap the orange Purchase Tickets button in the center of the page.
- Tap the menu icon with three horizontal bars () in the top left corner. Tap Promotional Code. Type the word POWER (not case-sensitive) and tap Apply.
- This will open the Wildlights ticket options. Tap Buy Now under the option that applies to you.

For the past 16 years, AEP Ohio has proudly supported the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium as they turn nearly 3 million energy-efficient LED bulbs into one of the most spectacular light displays in central Ohio. These LEDs have helped the Zoo use approximately 85% less energy during Wildlights.
