This year alone in Delaware, our crews have:

  • Inspected more than 300 miles of electric lines.
  • Put up close to 500 new electric poles.
  • Installed more than 1,200 new pieces of electrical equipment like:
    • Cutouts, which disconnect faulty or overloaded lines to protect other equipment.
    • Reclosers, which can restore power after temporary interruption.
    • Crossarms, which help support wires on poles.
  • Continued forestry work to trim and remove trees that are at risk of causing outages.

Ongoing Efforts

These improvements are in addition to our ongoing work to boost reliability. Whether through drones to streamline our power line inspections or preparation for storms, we’re moving toward a more reliable energy future.
