On March 21 and 22, an enthusiastic group of volunteers gathered in Columbus to kick off the construction of a new home in partnership with Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio. This project marks the 28th house sponsored by the AEP Foundation, demonstrating our long-standing commitment to making a difference.
During this March event, volunteers focused on building wall units for a two-story, five-bedroom home planned for the Linden neighborhood in Columbus. This house will provide a safe and welcoming environment for a family of 10 that has already been identified.
“The care and dedication of our volunteers are truly inspiring,” said Kirk N., Audit Engagement Manager at AEP and the staff lead for this project. “Together, we are more than just employees — we are a force for good in our community. Every effort adds up to create meaningful change.”
Beyond the satisfaction of a hard day’s work, these projects foster teamwork and camaraderie outside the office. With 20 AEP employees participating, along with AEP retirees and others, the group accomplished a great deal.
Thank you for your support in helping us make a difference in our community!
