  1. I am having a new refrigerator brought in and need to get rid of my old one. How do I go about scheduling for someone to pick up the old one?

    1. Hi Phil. I’m with AEP Ohio but I’m told that the appliance recycling program recently returned to our Appalachian Power territory. You can view the information on the Appalachian Power website by typing “Appliance Recycling” into the search bar. The information about our appliance recycling program can also be accessed through the following link: https://www.appalachianpower.com/save/eNewsletter/ViewStory.aspx?StoryID=824. To schedule a pick up, please call 1-888-277-0529.

  2. Can i schedule a refrigerator pickup? I am an AEP customer and my address is 786 Cross St, Newcomerstown Oh 43832

    1. Hey Alice. Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we’re temporarily suspending the appliance recycling program as a precaution to avoid spreading the virus. If you are interested in scheduling for a later date, we can add you to a waitlist and you will be contacted once the program resumes scheduling appointments. Go here for more info: aepohio.com/save/residential/programs/ApplianceRecycling.aspx

      1. Hi Eric. Sorry for the delay. I have passed on your contact info to our energy efficiency team so you should hear from someone soon.

They loaded it on van on 8/28/20, said no receipt or phone info # was available, but I would get my check in 10 days. After calling after 3 weeks, 5 weeks and now 7 weeks, being given 3 phone #s to call and fax, I haven’t received or heard anything. Noticed Merle on Oct 13 posted the same pick up date as mine. Where is the check??
