As the holiday season gets underway, it’s time for the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s Wildlights — a family-favorite tradition in Central Ohio and beyond. This seasonal event runs from November 19, 2021 to January 2, 2022 and features festivities that include animated light displays, delicious treats, winter wonderland train rides and, of course, amazing animals. 

This year, in addition to efficiently powering the millions of LED lights that give the event its signature sparkle, we’re excited to lend a hand in another very special way. With a little help from Santa, our forestry crews will be delivering delicious treats to the reindeer and other animals, an opportunity made possible by our Trim to Treat partnership. Through Trim to Treat, some of the trees and branches our forestry crews regularly trim to help keep the power on are donated and delivered to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and The Wilds, a conservation center and safari park managed by the Columbus Zoo, to be used by the animals for food, perching and more. That’s why this year’s Wildlights will be the merriest and brightest yet!

  • Click the blue button with the 3 horizontal bars on the top left corner to open the site menu.
  • Click the orange ‘TICKETS’ button that appears at the bottom of the page.
  • Click the ‘MENU’ button on the top left of the mobile ticket site.
  • Enter ‘power’ in the ‘Enter Promotional Code’ box.
  • This will open up the BOGO ticket options to purchase.
  • You should only select the number of tickets that you are planning on paying for. For example, if you have a group of 6 guests you would only need to pay for 3 tickets. Select the 3 tickets that you need and click next. When you get to the ‘Shopping Cart’ page, it will automatically apply the 3 free tickets for the total of 6 tickets.

  1. I am trying to oder 1 Senior ticket + 1 comp. ticket and parking pass through the Wildlights app from AEP.

    I hit update and cancel but cannot erase my many attempts ordering tickets. It just adds a new attempt.

    Is it possible to erase void my previous orders and complete the order I have stated above.

    1. Hi Sharon. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with the checkout process. I would recommend reaching out to the Columbus Zoo for questions related to editing your cart. Their technical support is available at 407.261.4286.

    1. Hi Lauren. Sorry for any confusion. If there are two people in your party, only add a single ticket to your cart, the complementary ticket is added at checkout. Hope this is helpful and you enjoy your visit to Wildlights!

  2. I attempted to purchase the BOGO tickets via the link provided. However. there is no where to put a discount code. I understand the code is POWER.. but nowhere to submit to get the discount. Thank you.

    1. Hi Gretchen. If you purchased the tickets using a mobile device you should have received a mobile ticket (and I believe that option is also available if you bought tickets using a computer). Should you continue to have problems, please contact the Columbus Zoo at (407) 261-4286.
