  1. I would like to save money on my electric bill this month was to high can you tell me about your program to lower mt electric bill thanks

    1. Hi Karen. If you’re looking for easy ways to lower your monthly electric bill, this is a good list:

    1. I’m sorry for any confusion caused by the account number field, James. The last digit shown on your electric bill can vary month to month, so we request only the first ten digits to validate your request. Please use the first ten digits of your account number excluding special characters. Your account number can be found in the top-right corner of your bill. Hope that helps!

  2. I did call about the washer rebate. While the employee was very polite, all she did was take my info & tell me that someone would call me. No time period & she said that I would probably not hear from anyone for about 10 days. No info as to where I should mail my copies. Not everyone has a smart phone!! Think your company should be a little more efficient.

    1. Hi Joanne. Thanks for writing. I’m sorry this hasn’t been easy for you thus far. I have sent your info to our energy efficiency team so you should hear from someone soon. Have a nice day.

    1. Hi Monica! We do have a participating contractors network in our HVAC program at Though they don’t work directly for AEP Ohio, these contractors are familiar with the systems that qualify for our rebates (which are available through September 30).

Also, you can request a free energy efficiency kit at

    1. Glad you’re interested, Mary! All the info you need to know about LED bulbs is right here: Please keep in mind that our energy efficiency programs are ending September 30.

  3. I have the AEP energy kit and it’s really helpful. I am very disappointed that you can’t keep this program going it’s very help and now I have to look into a different way of controlling my thermostat is also upsetting. I truly hope that the program can continue.
